New DigiFrost Window Film Solution Provides Etched Glass Effect 20/07/11

[![Alternative text]!]

The days of manually cutting out elements opal frost and crystal effect vinyls, known as ‘weeding’, have been relegated to the past thanks to an innovative new product from the market leader in optically clear PET printed window film, DigiGlass.

DigiFrost uses a unique high definition printing process that exploits a combination of light grey and white inks to replicate the effect of Opal Frost. Any image, no matter how complicated or intricate, can be printed onto 50 or 100 micron optically clear window film without the need for any post print ‘weeding’ or backing tape.

Dave Macdonald, managing director of DigiGlass commented, “The manual component of producing cut opal frost is exceedingly onerous both in terms of time and money. DigiFrost removes this hassle with outstanding effects to save hours of manual work for sign and glazing companies.”

In addition to the time and cost savings, DigiFrost has a number of advantages over traditional vinyl solutions.

Dave went on to add, “This is an exciting development for DigiGlass and we look forward to working with companies to offer this unique frosted window film solution.”
